“Emotions are contagious. We’ve all known it experientially. You know after you have a really fun coffee with a friend, you feel good. When you have a rude clerk in a store, you walk away feeling bad.”

  1. Fired indeed. back to common courtesy! Not only do rude cranky people affect our moods they ruin their own day, all day. I encountered 6 different, equally, rude and lazy clerks 2 days in a row at a UPS store, UPS is a great company and I trust they are unaware of this. They are aware now as I informed corporate. I have time now that I no longer work so I take the time to report and complain of poor behavior and rude employees as well as sending compliments for those who are pleasant and lift my mood. contagious indeed, random acts of kindness are a beautiful thing. Please and thank you go a long way in creating a peaceful exsistance for all humanity.

    • Civility and common courtesy are alive in the US but you have to drive south of Washington, DC to find those lovely people. No wonder, those of us who are cursed to live out our lives in the Northeast, vacation, retire and visit “Down South” whenever we can.
