Awesome article you wrote!
One of the sayings I hate the most these days is that “you shouldn’t stay together for the sake of the children.” Well, why the heck not? People stay married for financial reasons, for political purposes, or because they can’t bear to part with the family dog, but staying together for the sake of the kids is considered to be psychologically damaging. It is not. It shows a commitment to the family, a willingness to make sacrifices for the kids, and promotes a non selfish attitude that is much needed these days. Marriage isn’t all about us, all of the time, and I think that’s something that feminism has deceived us about.

Thank thank you very much. I always appreciate your comments. If the truth be known, nothing is about us. If you’re not willing to give, you get nothing in return. I’ve always liked missionary Amy Carmichael’s quote- “You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.”
