The Sacrament of Marriage – Bible – 1 Corinthians 11:3

The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible

“But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.”

We are all beholding to someone of higher authority. There is nothing “domineering” or “oppressive” in this reality, unless you view this fact through the tunnel-vision of radical, second-wave feminism. kqd

  1. I posted this comment on a video I watched this morning. I thought you would like to read it:

Read about King Solomon in the Old Testament*. He had hundreds of wives and concubines. On a physical and soulish level, this would be very dissipating to his physical and mental strength. On a spiritual level, most of his wives and concubines were pagan; he was having sexual/spiritual intercourse with demons–the demons in his wives and concubines. This would be absolutely damaging to his spiritual/moral strength. King Solomon really fizzled out in the end, didn’t he?

If you are a Christian man, WAIT ON THE LORD for your wife. Clue: when the Lord gave Eve to Adam, Adam wasn’t looking for a wife. If you are supposed to be married, the Lord will give you your wife. It will be plain as day. Have a strong prayer life; read the Bible; if you can find good Christian fellowship, that’s great; avoid lukewarm Christians like the plague; stay in the Presence of God.

I Corinthians 7:27: “Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.”

*I Kings 11:1-3: “But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.”

I Kings 11:6: “And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.”
