Mary Metzgar’s family was grown and gone, but she still loved to sew. So, instead of putting her talents to use for her family, she put her skills to work to raise money to spay and neuter the stray, abandoned, homeless and donated cats and dogs in her community.
She makes catnip and batting filled “ravioli’s”, which are each sold for $1.00. Fifteen years later, she has raised well over $25,000 from the sale of her ravioli’s and has made a significant contribution to her community.
