Being Prepared for the Worst!

Ten Reasons Why Men Prefer Guns to Women

10.    You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.

  9.    You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you’re on the road.

  8.    If you admire a friend’s gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out                              a few times.

  7.    Your primary gun doesn’t mind if you keep another gun for backup.

  6.    Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.

  5.    A gun doesn’t take up a lot of closet space.

  4.    Guns function normally, every day of the month.

  3.    A gun doesn’t ask, “Do these new grips make me look fat.”

  2.    A gun doesn’t mind if you go to sleep after you use it.

And the #1 reason why men prefer guns over women – you can buy a silencer for a gun!

  1. Aloha K.Q.!
I am home now for vacation, and I loved your “10 Reasons” But, I must say I would never trade my .44 for a .22…Can’t beat the stopping power of my .44 Mag. and I already have a couple of .22’s for plinking with…..But it is a great story.
How are you doing now? All is well, I hope? I like being back home, I got home just in time to be with my wife for our 27th Anniversary! First time in years that I have been home for our anniv. Praise Jesus!
Now I can catch up on your posts that I missed…I am so glad my wife likes to be a full time Home maker and I will work hard to keep it that way!

    • Aloha! So glad you made it home for your anniversary. Hope you’re not out of practice on how to celebrate anniversaries? 😀 All’s well here. Taking a hiatus from full-time blogging to help my daughter and husband. She just had her fourth child and am helping with the kids. Very nice to hear from you. Enjoy your vacation.

  2. Molock Moen ….not much of a difference. Even the company Moen uses what looks like owl ears or its face…. some food for thought. They are ALL in bed together.

Even the company logo: Buy it for looks, buy it for life…. and another one I have been hearing as of late.. Seeing is believing

But we walk by faith NOT by site!

Like Eve we need to be careful about what we take in, listen to, and believe because it becomes our religion.

I begin making a blanket statement to people that don’t follow the scripture or don’t even believe. “That’s your religion.” (I can not take credit for that statement. Ken Ham- founder from AiG aka Answers in Genesis) You should see their faces sometimes. I had one person tell me: Uh no, I mean yes… what do you mean by that? 🙂

      • And people actually listen to him? Definitely have to be radical feminists, one and all! I wonder if they’ll wise up before they find themselves retired and living alone with nothing but a cat for company because they couldn’t find a wimp willing to go along with Skip’s “husband” criteria?

      • I believe he may be a “messianic” Jew or he is similar to one. These are basically Jews that have converted to Christianity. The accept Jesus as their Messiah and they accept the New Testament as the Word of God. But they do have some different interpretations sometimes than non-Jewish Christians. I know many Messianic Christians and I can safely say Skips views on gender and marriage do not represent normal Messianic Christian views.

      • Don’t kid yourself. They have NOT converted to Christianity. Their sole purpose is to undermine Christianity’s influence and teachings. Moen’s views are instead directly aligned with radical, second-wave feminism, which is deliberately designed to oppose Christianity. It was invented in late 1960s and early 1970s, by a very annoying group of disgruntled Jewish women originally in revenge against their domineering fathers. Unfortunately, they assumed ALL men were like their fathers and in their general attack on men, eventually, and unjustly, included Christian men in their tirade. As a result of this initial foray, the anti-Christian socialists, atheists, agnostics, etc. joined their ranks and today we are living with the results. Persecutions of Christians in, what once was, our vastly Christian America. I’ve addressed this phenomena in multiple posts including, “Longform Essay – How Did “Patriarchy” Become a Dirty Word”, “Longform Essay – Why Did the Founders of Radical, Second-Wave Feminism Hate Men” and “10+ Tenets of Christianity vs. 10+ Ideals of Radical Feminism” some of which you may have read. As far as Moen being a Messianic Jew? He is in NO way aligned with the Messianic Jews. Unlike him, they have not been intimidated by their radical feminist wives and daughters to rewrite the Bible to suite their irrational demands. Moen is a fraud and a clear and present danger to Christianity. His followers are more like Moonies than anything else.

      • I did some more reading on his site today and I agree with you 100% that Moen is not true believer in Christ – he is the very definition of Apostate. He denies that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh(and he completely denies the doctrine of the Trinity).

If he does not change his ways, a fiery judgement awaits him.

      • Agreed, but sadly I sincerely believe these people suffer from a self-destructive form of insanity and as a result, will be sent to Hell, while still in denial. That makes them very dangerous while they are still spewing their veiled hatred of Christianity on earth. Unfortunately, their are SO many stupid women who cannot see evil even if it is standing before them. (My post, “See No Evil” addresses this) that fast talking nutcases like this will always have a following.

      • But I will say that I do know some Messianic Jews who would completely reject most of what Moen teaches. They do believe in the Trinity and they do believe in Salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ. But again on Moen – I agree with you 100%

      • That was one of my points in my last reply. I agree. He is “in NO way aligned” with the Messianic Jews. They believe nearly exactly what we Christians believe about Christ. But, their unique contribution to the faith is their efforts to prove to the Jews (through the use of the Old Testament) that Christ fulfilled all of the prophecies foretelling the arrival of the Messiah. These rabbis are exceedingly qualified to pursue this scenario as they are experts in the Old Testament which makes it very difficult to argue with them. Plus, they are exceptional orators. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is an excellent example of one of these men.
