Current EVEntS – YEAH! Nancy Pelosi Denied Holy Communion by the Vatican

Although Cardinal Raymond Burke, chief justice of the Vatican’s Apostolic Signatura, ruled last year that Nancy Pelosi was to be denied, under all circumstances, the privilege of receiving Holy Communion, the story bears repeating for those who may have missed this long-awaited decision.

Nancy Pelosi has on many occasions professed to be a Catholic and yet she is notoriously known for her support of abortion. This stance is in line with the atheist view of life as defined by the “culture of death”, as opposed to the Catholic Church’s view of life as defined by the word “sacred.”

Ms. Pelosi has persistently, and arrogantly, ignored the warnings from the Church concerning her continued support of abortion. Cardinal Burke finally responded accordingly.

To quote from the Canadian Life Site News.com:

“‘Asked about Pelosi, Burke said, ‘Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied.’
Canon 915 states that those who are ‘obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.’
‘This is a person who obstinately, after repeated admonitions, persists in a grave sin — cooperating with the crime of procured abortion — and still professes to be a devout Catholic,’ the cardinal said. ‘I fear for Congresswoman Pelosi if she does not come to understand how gravely in error she is. I invite her to reflect upon the example of St. Thomas More who acted rightly in a similar situation even at the cost of his life.'”

I think you will agree that Nancy Pelosi deliberately places politics above her faith, the death of innocent children above saving their lives and evil above good. There is no question that she should be condemned for her hypocrisy.

God bless Cardinal Burke, as he is a man who has the courage of his convictions and was totally justified in his decision to ban her from receiving Communion. My only hope is that he will eventually excommunicate her as well.

  1. It is her opinion, period. Did she get an abortion ? No. If The Catholic Church wants to deny it ‘s flock Holy Communion for just opinions then 99% of all Catholics should be denied. Did Cardinal Burke pass the same judgment on child molesting Priest ? No they can continue to receive the Body and blood of Christ. Hypocrite period ! My mother was a devout Catholic and President of the Legion Of Mary. She was pregnant and suddenly seriously ill. The fetus was presumed dead but she could not miscarry on her own. She was near death when her Catholic doctor did an illegal abortion on her to save her life. I was born a year later. My mother had four children and a husband at home and never took any form of birth control, but she deserved to live. It is not all black and white, there is a middle of the road.

    • How do you know Pelosi never had an abortion? And, if you believe personal opinions can define a person’s faith you are totally missing the point of faith. You either agree with the tenets of Catholicism or you find another religion, because if you don’t agree, you are NOT a Catholic. It’s as simply as that. No one is forcing you, of Pelosi, to be a Catholic. If you, or she, doesn’t agree with the faith, move on, rather then continue to be a hypocrite. As far as the unfortunate circumstances surrounding your mother’s terminated pregnancy, it was a matter of life or death and a decision I’m sure your faith-filled Mom and Dad prayed over. I’m sure it was not made lightly but that doesn’t mean that the Catholic Church should condone abortion because of what happened to your folks. And I’m sure your parents would agree too. And, no, you are wrong about Cardinal Burke too. He was one on the most outspoken men to voice his outrage about the pedophile priests. He is truly a holy, holy man with the courage of his convictions. He will not stand by while other Catholics, unwittingly, destroy their lives. He will tell them where they are wrong about their faith. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t be a Catholic priest, he’d just be another hypocrite himself. There is no middle of the road when it comes to living a Christian life. You either believe, or you don’t. I hope you don’t give up on your Catholic faith. It may seem conflicted at times but, like everything else, it is run by flawed, imperfect humans. Just remember, it is the only faith that can be traced directly back to Jesus Himself, rather than to some disgruntled man. It is worth your time and energy to steer clear of pointless criticism and stay focused on Catholicism’s unique, and direct, connection to God Himself. He will never fail those who love Him in return. Good luck and God bless your journey towards the unvarnished truth. Cheers.

    • My gosh, Cindy, you are more ignorant than I can imagine. Here’s the deal: Ms. Pelosi has publicly SUPPORTED and VOTED for abortion bills in Congress, a mortal sin. You must be a blonde because you are stupid beyond belief.

  2. There are other Christian faiths that allow abortion. If Ms Pelosi wishes to continue in her Christian workshop, she best join another church. Knowing that the Church does not advocate abortion, she is in fact not “in a state of grace,” when receiving Communion. The Cardinal simply applied the teachings of the Church. Well done.
